It never fails, that when these two team get together the fans get there moneys worth........What a high powered game from both sides, neither wanting to give......so it goes to game 3......hits coming from up and down the line up......pitcher johnny balls with 3 triples with 3 at bats, just un stopable and pitching a solid game on the mound, mike with a 3run home run, and rookie sensation 3rd baseman lyle with a clutch hit double, also hitting was johnny lip,pauly wallnuts and jason....
hollywood pitching a great game for the lab boys......see you in game 3, i know it will be a great finish.....
Funny how the triple play that should have been called was not mentioned in the above post.That opened up the flood gates for you guys and was a blatantly awful non call by the 2nd base umpire and the home plate umpire.But you take what the ump gives you and you guys capitalized on it at our expense.It should fire is up for the next game.If it does not then we don't deserve to move on to the next round.

This is a wasteful argument. It doesn’t matter because the game is over!
The umpires did their best and things happened. Not every call umpires make is going to be correct and not every assumed incorrect call from a team or players view is right either.
Bottom line for the Lab:
When your offense only averages 9 runs a game over the past 10 games, it’s pretty hard to win many Softball games at any level with that kind of run production.
Miami said it right. Absolutely TERRIBLE call, BUT that's part of the game and no team is going to 'fess up and admit they were out, so you need to deal with it and we didn't do a very good job thereafter. Did they steal a win away from us? We'll never know, but NO WAY did we deserve what we got.
J&J's Johnny Balls saved them by keeping the game close until the Umps took over and that was the Gieco Turning Point of the Game. I know the Umps feel bad, but they didn't cause the other 13 runs, so it is what it is. We have another OPPORTUNITY to move to the finals because we EARNED the first game victory. Let's take advantage of that and not mull on this one.
To the Labsters...I know it was a crushing one...I didn't sleep last night, but we need to get over it by Tuesday and come to play. There are 2 good evenly matched teams and it's been turned into a 1-game anything can happen playoff. One wins and the other goes home. We've been here last season, so we know what it takes. I see it in my crystal ball....bases loaded...top 7...Labsters up by 1.....ground-smash to the shortstop...
If we play our game for the full 7 innings, we should be fine. Tuesday night....Come to win, or don't come at all!

Oh now Mr. Paul my favorite player from my favorite team TV Lab donot cry and stamp your feet blaming the umpires. Plus donot have that large cup of Coffee so you are up all night worrying. Back in my day we did not use excuses when we got beat. So hold your chest up and play the game like a man and accept what happens. As I have said before enjoy the game it is only a game and be respectfull. Until the next game and hopefully a victory party for my favorite team TV Lab have a Coffee and enjoy the afternoon.

"Poor hitting from the top of the line up and some BAD ball, strike calls(and i NEVER complain about the umps).... did not help the diggers in the 1st game of the semi's,"........that sounds like blaming part of the loss on bad balls and strike calls by the Ump.....thats your opinion and your entitled to it.......so you will have to understand our frustration when you lose 2 outs because one of the two umps was not looking at the bases......And our opinion was niether guy tagged up.....plus they looked like they werent even sure the ball was caught and were both hung up between the bases....... Umps are human so mistakes will happen.......but If you know an umps strike zone is off you can easily adjust to that in the box or just swing the bat .....but theres no adjustment you can make for bad calls on bases...
With that being said Im not going to even put this game on the Umps call cause in Reality it was our Offense that lost the game and you guys hit the hell out of the ball after that funky play.....Both teams probably each have a few guys that get under the other teams skin but as a whole both teams show respect for eachother ......One thing we do want is a blood test done on Johnny Balls to see what the Heck he was on last night ha ha ha

Hops like that are impossible to judge... just didn't like the comment about the ball hitting me in the face. We are here to have fun, not to hope someone gets hit in the face.
I agree with your comment... all it takes is one person to say something nobody wants to hear. You guys are just as competitive as we are and that is what makes our games soo much fun!

We will load the wagons and be there Wednesday ready for another classic. Hopefully, we can keep up our end of the bargin and not get blown out by the Diggers. They have beaten us 3 out of 5 this year already with 1 of the blowout variety and the other 2 going their way, so I have to believe the odds are with the Lab pulling this one out since these two teams are so evenly matched. The team that wins will deserve it from my view with no excuses. They will be the better team for 2008 and I will have no problem walking away that night thinking anything different no matter what the outcome. Let's Play Ball!
