In what was not the best game played by either team, Calvary Baptist prevailed with a 10 to 9 score. Villagers were down 2 in the top half of the 7th inning, but scored 3 runs to go up by 1. The Baptists came back in the bottom half of the inning to score 2 runs and walked away gratefully with the victory. It was a great season and we had a lot of fun playing. We want to congratulate and thank all the teams and players for making this an enjoyable experience. And congratulations to all my teammates. You covered up for so many of my mishaps over the course of our journey to the Division Championship. Raise the trophy and praise to the Lord.

Well it appears that the 1st game we played has been awarded to Village Mortgage. There was much discussion concerning an "illegal"/"suspended" player. As of game time, we had not received a definitive answer. In fact, we were told it would be up to the umpires. The umpires, along with the consent of the opposing team, allowed the player to play. Subsequent to that game, a "final" decision was made and it was determined that the player should have been suspended for the game. So it is that the decision was made. We will play game 3 as scheduled and may the best team win. We have no ill feelings, but think there should have been a firm decision prior to game 1. We would have sat that player out, if we had been told to.
