After a shaky start TEAM SURVIVOR took the win 9-3 to advance to the finals on Thursday night at West Torrington Field (NO THANKS to good ol' Park and Rec never telling the coaches that the game had been moved.....we all would have been up at East School if not for this site)
Everyone played well for TEAM SURVIVOR...on offense Michele pitched her heart out striking out 4 batters and caught a line drive and threw out the runner on 1st for a great double play. Eileen had a awesome diving line drive catch. Patty a awesome catch in right center. Jen Jen # 10 did a outstanding job on 1st as always!!! The rest of the offense played well too!!! On defense all hit well...Jen W had a hard hit double over the outfielders head and got robbed on another hard hit long ball. Eileen slammed a homerun..great job!!!
Town Tavern:TEAM SURVIVOR starts the finals on Tuesday at 6 at West Torrington field. Good luck ladies, I unfortunatly turned my ankle and pulled some ligaments so I will be out of commision...THIS SUCKS........but if it goes to 3 games I will hopefully be better to play then!!!!
Whatever happens in the finals it was one heck of a year....we are one big family who sticks together and just mesh as a team. Cheryl..you were very much missed on the field after your injury, but we all know you will come back strong next season.
